Hey there! So, my husband and I are getting ready to sell our house, but there’s a bit of a snag – we have 8 indoor/outdoor cats roaming around. Luckily, we have a pretty big 10-acre lot for them to hang out in, and they even have their own little treehouse to chill in during the day. Honestly, these furballs are hardly indoors except at night. Our real estate agent took a look around and said there’s no lingering cat smell, but suggested we get the bedroom carpets professionally cleaned. Other than that, our house is good to go.
Now, here’s the dilemma: what do we do with the cats when potential buyers come for a viewing? At night, I still keep five litter boxes in the laundry room for them. I know not everyone is a cat person – some folks adore them, while others can’t stand them. I don’t want our kitties to scare off any potential buyers, but I get that some people might be turned off by the idea of a cat-friendly home.
