So, my partner and I are in a bit of a pickle. We’re trying to sell our house, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a struggle. We’ve had this place on the market for 36 days now, and we even slashed the price by a whopping $45,000 to sweeten the deal. We’re eager to sell, you know? Our realtor is all like, “Hey, your pricing is on point,” but the interest in our humble abode has been pretty lackluster so far.
I mean, we’ve only had 2 showings. Two! Can you believe it? One of the potential buyers was basically just dipping their toes in the water of home searching, not really committed to diving in. The other one didn’t dig the distance to the water. Fair enough, I guess, but come on! We even went the extra mile and had 2 open houses. And you know what? Only one couple bothered to show up. They seemed pleasantly surprised by the digs, but they’re not exactly sold on the whole lakefront living idea. Ugh, the struggle is real.
The thing is, our house is in tip-top shape. It’s all spick and span, looking all pretty and inviting. But for some reason, the foot traffic we were hoping for just ain’t materializing. I’m starting to wonder if the real estate market is just moving at a snail’s pace right now, or if we’re missing something crucial here. Like, what gives, universe?
