Turns out, the family buying her house, who seemed like the perfect fit, had been pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes. They claimed to have $130k to put down and a property to sell, but it was all a big fat lie. They have zero money and no house to sell. Zip. Zilch. Nada. How on earth did this slip through the cracks? When I was buying my own place, I had to jump through hoops to prove I had a cent to my name. So, how did these folks manage to fool everyone until the 11th hour? It’s mind-boggling.
