But hey, with carpet, they claim moisture is less likely to cause trouble and the tiles are less likely to misbehave – as long as you’re not using some fancy moisture-blocking carpet padding.
Now, here’s the kicker – some folks out there are all about just biting the bullet and shelling out the cash to get rid of all that asbestos tile. On the flip side, I’ve come across plenty of stories where people swear that asbestos can be safely tucked away under an LVP or laminate floor, as long as you prep things right. I mean, I’ve seen homes where this exact setup is living its best life without any drama.
I gotta admit, I’m torn on what to do next. On one hand, I’m all for playing it safe and avoiding any potential asbestos-related headaches down the road.
