Here’s the kicker though – finding someone affordable to fix these major problems ain’t easy. The only folks offering to help for cheap or free are, well, not exactly the most reliable bunch. And we are not risking our hard-earned sobriety for anything. We’ve fought too hard to get to where we are now.
My crew, we’ve been through some tough times, especially my one friend who just had a kick-ass birthday after ages of struggle. Seeing her smile like that, man, it’s priceless. We’re a ragtag bunch, all on the autism spectrum, with one friend dealing with severe epilepsy. But we stick together, no matter what.
Here’s the thing – I’m clueless when it comes to renovations. I’m 22, autistic, and renovation might as well be a foreign language to me. But hey, I’m stepping up because that’s what friends do. We’ve got each other’s backs, and that’s all that matters.
