Ever Witnessed a Drunk Driver Drag Your Boulder Through Town?

So, picture this: I’m chilling in the park one evening when all of a sudden, I hear this loud crash. And guess what? Some dude has managed to crash his car right through my fence. And get this, he’s clearly three sheets to the wind, trying to free his car from a boulder it’s stuck on. Meanwhile, I’m on the phone with the cops, watching this whole circus unfold before my eyes. The guy finally gets the car off the boulder, or so he thinks. Instead, he ends up trapping the boulder under his car and starts dragging it through the park like it’s no big deal.

I’m still on the line with the police, witnessing this drunk dude dragging my property through the grass, back and forth, in an attempt to shake off the boulder. But each move only makes the situation worse. By the time the cops show up, he’s dragged that darn boulder halfway across the park. Just when you think things can’t get any more absurd, the guy spots the police and decides his best move is to park in a vacant lot and lay low. I mean, seriously? No attempt to hide, no sneaky spot, just chilling in plain sight with a car that’s been on a joyride through my property.

Thankfully, no one gets hurt in this whole debacle, which is the most important thing. Sure, the fence needs fixing, and the boulder needs relocating, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s all good. I’ve learned not to stress too much about stuff like this. You can’t control the craziness that life throws at you. Sometimes you just have to roll with it, deal with the aftermath, and appreciate the wild story you end up with.

In a few years, the cost of repairing the fence will be a distant memory. But you can bet I’ll be regaling folks with the tale of the time a drunk driver dragged my boulder halfway across the park and then tried to play hide-and-seek with the cops in a wide-open lot. Just another day in the life of a “Fun” Landlord, am I right?
