So, I’ve been thinking about transforming my tiny primary bathroom into a wet room. You know, like those cool bathrooms in Korea where everything is waterproof and there’s just a single drain on the floor. It’s a big trend in Asia but not so much here in the US. My dad thinks it’s a bit unconventional for selling the house, but I’m convinced it’s the way to go.
Right now, my bathroom feels cramped with just a vanity, toilet, and a stand-alone shower squeezed in. I’ve tried to brainstorm ways to make it feel more spacious, but there’s really no extra space to work with without it feeling awkward. I don’t even have a walk-in closet in the master bedroom, so sacrificing space from there for a bigger bathroom is out of the question.
I did come up with a neat idea to make the master bedroom feel more spacious by opening up hidden corners and adding sliding barn doors for a sleek look. But when it comes to expanding the bathroom, the only feasible option seems to be taking space from the closet, and I’m not too keen on that.
So, I think a wet room could be the perfect solution. It would open up the space in my bathroom and make it feel more modern and luxurious. However, after doing some research, I found out that wet rooms are better suited for secondary bathrooms rather than primary ones. Some people seem to think it’s a great idea, while others are a bit skeptical. I guess I’ll have to weigh the pros and cons before making a final decision.
