So, my house is going up for sale this week, and I wanted to check out the pictures and listing copy before they went live. I made it clear during our interview with the agent that this was important to me. However, the agent still hadn’t shared the pictures when we followed up recently. The agent seemed surprised that we wanted to review everything beforehand, saying that if we had any issues after it went live, they would work with us to address them. They mentioned that in their 20+ years of experience, no one had requested this before. I don’t think it’s too much to ask to want to preview everything since we are ultimately responsible for the accuracy of the information. I’ve requested a call this afternoon to discuss, but I can’t help but wonder: am I being unreasonable here? Who’s in the wrong – me or the agent?
Update: The agent finally shared the copy and pictures with us, and we were able to make a few minor adjustments for accuracy. The pictures turned out to be satisfactory. It seems like opinions on this issue are split, and I appreciate the different perspectives shared as they have helped me understand where my agent is coming from.
